THE REVIEW

Revlon's Charlie 'Gold' EDT was introduced in 1995. According to old users, it was reformulated and smells watered down starting around the 2010's. I have four variants of Revlon's Charlie perfumes -- GoldRedBlue and White. For a selling price of PhP 450.00, a volume of 100mL EDT is pretty generous for an authentic, original, foreign brand or imported perfume.

Revlon's Charlie 'Gold' EDT opens with strong notes of fruits without the sweetness and you can easily identify the apricot, peach, plum and orange peel. Once we get past the fruity notes, you can later identify mild impressions of jasmine, rose, cinnamon, caramel, amber and a bit of cloves. Overall, the notes that dominate are peach, plum and apricot from start to finish. Once the others mellow down it's still the fruity notes that I can smell on my skin. This golden scent is magical!

All of the Charlie perfumes had an enormous sillage in the opening. It's just so heavenly to be enveloped in fragrance! Within half hour, it mellows down to a light scent until the second hour, by then more of a skin scent. Lasting power is weaker than the other variants. The Gold variant is my favorite of the four in my possession, and I wish it was much more cloying and lasts longer. But for the scent alone, I think this is a great find!

Summary/Conclusion:
It is a fruity-oriental scent, not teeny-sweet
More of a mature or old school scent for women
Good performance, good value for money
Generous 100mL for the price of PhP 450.00
Strong sillage in the beginning, fades to light sillage
Lasting power not as good as other variants I had
Gold is my favorite variant, followed by Red
This is a bold signature scent for bold wearers

This photo can easily ell you that the GOLD is the one I use the most.

The reason I juxtaposed them is to show you the consistent batch code
at the base of the bottle and under the barcode on the box.
This is a sign that you're buying an authentic fragrance from abroad.
