One day, boredom struck and I went searching for a gardenia scented perfume with demonic obsession. So here comes the MingNa Gardenia EDP. It was so cheap, it wouldn't hurt to try and have zero expectations.
Zero expectations. Because one would normally associate made in China with counterfeit or low quality products. But when I first tried, it was beyond expectation and really made me giggle like a child.
One day, boredom struck and I went searching for a gardenia scented perfume with demonic obsession. So here comes the MingNa Gardenia EDP. It was so cheap, it wouldn't hurt to try and have zero expectations.
Zero expectations. Because one would normally associate made in China with counterfeit or low quality products. But when I first tried, it was beyond expectation and really made me giggle like a child.
The box is plain and simple, but the sides were already detached. I haven't come across an FDA approval, but it has an 'S' quality assurance logo. The cute looking bottle does not pretend to be elegant but I'm sure it might be copying another famous perfume for its looks. The atomizer spray is very smooth to spray -- no leaks and it draws just enough mist to make me ecstatic. There was a confusion because the box and website says 'eau de toilette' while on the bottle it was printed 'eau de parfum'. I believe it was EDP because of the strength of the aroma.
It is a very simple fragrance with the combination of butter-sweet gardenia and bright astringent sampaguita. Because I have those flowers and know what they smell like -- this fragrance is the true essence of those flowers. Nothing artificial, and it's good there are no other notes to distract. Just a simple appreciation of gardenia flowers.
It has a good sillage and will really entice everyone, but longevity is just about an hour or a bit longer before disappearing close to the skin. I still like it anyway. If you are looking for the true essence of jasmine and gardenia, this is it!
