THE REVIEW
The original Charlie 'Blue' EDT by Revlon was introduced in 1973. According to old users, the one we have for review here is a different variant (not the original) and from the 2010's. I have four variants of Revlon's Charlie perfumes -- Gold, Red, Blue and White. For a selling price of PhP 450.00, a volume of 100mL EDT is pretty generous for an authentic, original, foreign brand or imported perfume.
Revlon's Charlie 'Blue' EDT (2010's) has a strong opening blast that gives me the impression of mixing oranges, jasmine flower, and just a little spice into something that smells like a fizzling 7-Up soda! A greenish-herbal note (geranium) kicks in after 10 seconds. By 20 seconds, a woody oak moss scent emerges and remains as the dominating impression until the end with a tiny bit of metallic musk, overpowering the other notes. This woody note sometimes reminds me of the scent of fresh cardboard boxes. May I say that this fragrance is basically an oak moss perfume.
All of the Charlie perfumes had an enormous sillage in the opening. It's just so heavenly to be enveloped in fragrance and leave scent trails even until the second hour! The Blue variant seems to have stronger sillage and super super lasting power compared to the others. I left my room for 30 minutes and when I came back, wow the room was just filled with its fragrant mossy-woody scent! The fragrance stays on the skin as long as 12 hours. The fragrance is contagious so that my cat smells strongly of this perfume after I hug him!

Do you mind if I get into the gritty details? These are the ingredients found on the box...
Eugenol - usually from clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, basil and bay leaf
Linalool - a spicy-floral aroma found in some ingredients like rosewood, coriander and lavender
Limonene - found in citrus fruit peels esp. oranges, and smells like oranges
Amyl cinnamal - a floral suggestive of jasmine
Geraniol - a rose-like scent
Coumarin - has a vanilla-like scent
Cinnamyl alcohol - sweet, balsam, hyacinth, spicy, green, cinnamon
Citral - used for its citrus effect
Summary/Conclusion:
Opening blast smells like 7-Up (not Sprite) soda!
This is mostly woody, a bit of fresh-spicy and floral
Masculine scent
Big 100mL bottle, reasonable price
Lasts longer and stronger sillage than other variants
The scent is okay for me, not a personal favorite
It looks suitable for people age 20+
