Musk scents became popular in the 1970s. Avon arrived pretty late when this perfume was introduced in 1983, but it made a name for itself and became a popular favorite. The new version being reviewed here was introduced in 2017 and comes in a beautiful sleek bottle that is also easy to handle. Prices may vary, but PhP 350.00 was the best bargain I can find for this 75mL bottle.
Avon's Musk 'For Men' EDC opens with a very bold sillage that can reach people across the street even on a cold windless day. That is to say it's super! However, it mellows down to light sillage within 30 minutes. After an hour or two, it stays close to the skin but overall stays around for 8+ hours more or less.
It is simply mesmerizing and one of my favorite Avon perfumes ever. The perfume is dominated mostly by the herbal scent of lavender. Later, you can smell a leathery note and a hint of metallic musky note. On moist skin, the herbal lavender dominates; on dry skin, the musky note comes out more. Overall, it gives me a fresh, clean, herbal, leathery impression that is nice to wear for all occasions. For the beautiful scent alone, the Avon Musk 'For Men' is super worth it.
