I first saw this BB cream around 2012 and have been ignoring it until 2015... because of the scent. So finally, here it is, the EB Advance Whitening BB Cream in Oriental.
From the moment I opened the tube, the medicated scent was really a turn off even if I liked it (people know that I like strong scents). Parang amoy pintura na medicine. The tube is fully loaded with this cream and has a hefty weight on my hand.
There are two variants to their BB cream -- 'Whitening' with warm undertone, and 'Anti-Wrinkle' with pink undertone. Yung Anti-Wrinkle po sana ang gusto ko, hindi naman ako into whitening, but it had pinkish undertone. Those are the only choices.
In fairness, this product is a great performer. Good coverage, good oil control, powdery finish, does not streak after hours of sweat, a little bit of moisture but not dewy. Then again comes the medicated scent ahaha...
My idea of a BB cream is that it is an alternative to foundation. So it should be more on loading the product with skin nutrition. Here, we only get Vitamin E, shea butter and licorice extract, in comparison to others that are more generous. Can I say that this is more like a foundation???
Another good point is that this product does not contain sunscreen and therefore great for flash photography.
For: great performer, good coverage, flash photography
Neutral: only few skin-friendly nutrients
Against: medicated scent, limited shades
