Manila Hotel is the oldest hotel in the country. When you walk in, you will be greeted by an awesome hall/lobby decorated with warm glowing chandeliers and classic wooden interior.
We were invited to Cafe Ilang Ilang at Manila Hotel, and the focus of our feature was the Halal section, as well as some treats from the desserts. Their specially made Chili-Chocolate Macaron is made-to-order and it's a combination of the sweetness of dark chocolate together with the throat-warming sensation of the chili (it doesn't burn).
Before sitting myself down for lunch, I couldn't help but walk around and explore the sections of Cafe Ilang Ilang -- then have a chat with Head Chef Konrad Walter and the other chefs too. Work first, lunch later. That's how I do things.
