I created a series of three tribute videos for my buddy Luna the black cat. He died of kidney failure in 14 April 2022, he would have been five years with us by October 2022. He has been on and off unwell since late 2020 which led to liver failure jaundice. It took six months of care and supplements to rid the jaundice, but he was anorexic throughout 2021 onward.
In 2022, Luna began to have frequent diarrhea and incontinence. Kidney failure did not occur in my mind until his last days. By April 2022, Luna became more erratic and more clingy than ever. He screams when we are merely a room apart, just like the time he almost drowned and was rescued. He follows me wherever he goes. I always felt from 2021 that he would leave us soon, but I was very very grateful that Luna actually extended his stay with us for one and a half more years. Each day was precious.
I'd like to think of it this way... death is not the end because when we reach the end, we simply rewind and go back to the beginning, living each moment again as if they happening again day by day. You will always be alive as long as I live, buddy Luna!
