'STUART' Our Sweet White Cat (1 June - 26 December 2022) |

Here is a belated tribute to my beloved and sweet white cat Stuart. Born June 1st, died December 26th. So sad to see him go so soon, as well as our other kittens. Virus wiped out the young ones. It began when I volunteered to foster a kitten in July, he needed mother cat milk. In August, another foster kitten that died the next day after it was rehomed. My deepest regret was openly accepting needy rescue kittens and cats before, so lately I quarantine them in our garage for a week before letting them in.
Some people commented that he looks like a white cat that stepped on paint, because of his dalmatian-like spots on the body. This white marking is called 'harlequin spotted'. Stuart's mother Mel is quite a fiery protector and would readily rumble with other cats that went near him. At the time in June, my cat Pepper also had her baby black kitten named Lunar. They became brothers and BFFs. Lunar later died in August.
In September, I had two more consecutive rescues -- Mr.Tiger on the 15th, then Jasper on the 20th. Sadly, Jasper died on December 4th. Stuart had his first dose vaccination but suddenly had bloated (ascites) a week before his second dose. No matter what good diet and supplements like virgin coconut oil, humic acid, etc. problems could not be avoided. Although I have deep regrets taking in those two foster kittens which I did not know were sick at the time, I would still have continued to rescue needy ones anyway but done it differently and with quarantine of one week.
So much grief has overwhelmed me so that I would not look at their photos and videos or edit for sixe months. Rest in peace sweet Stuart!
