'PAPRIKA' Calico Cat Found 23 April 2021 |

Two years ago in late April 2021, I began to hear three kittens crying for help across our home, under the balete tree. They were hiding in the crack on the wall. However, only one kitten was always coming forward when feeding them, and it was none other than our Paprika.
Their first photo was from 26 April (Monday). The next day at 9:00 PM, it was raining and Paprika was roaming the streets alone. Mama went out to take her in for shelter. The other two were hiding as usual. After that, Paprika became our permanent house cat. Our black cat Pepper never had kittens at the time and was a virgin, but surprising that she had mother instinct and accepted Paprika immediately.
I named Pepper that way because she was a black cat. Since Pepper adopted her, I thought it would be nice to name the calico kitten after another type of spice. Thus the name 'Paprika'. What sets her apart from our other rescue cats is that she is a thieving snatcher of food. Don't turn your back for a second!
Paprika was neutered on 25 August 2022 thanks to a free spay/neuter program hosted by the Veterinary Department of Quezon City. She is doing well as of 2023.
