REVIEW
I have been buying my own Avon fragrances since early 2000s, starting with the Avon Far Away EDP (warm coconut dominating note with some non-sweet orange underneath, and then oriental notes). I also loved the Imaris, the Haikus, Black Suedes and Forest Interlude, including others that were discontinued. When it comes to expectations, Avon fragrances never disappointed.
The Avon Prima Debut EDT was introduced in early 2020. Outside of the Philippines, this is known as Avon Prima 'Aspire', which may be the same perfume, or a different formula.
The perfume is a fruity-oriental according to my impression. It opens with a fruity mandarin orange (rather than the pear they described), floral emerges later, and then a little sweetness from amber. This fragrance smells very familiar, because it reminds me of walking into flower shops or gardens that sell Stargazer Lilies, only that this fragrance is super subtle than the actual lilies.
The fragrance seems to last very long with just one tiny spray behind my ears. It does smell like a sosyalin perfume, and I like that it's a beautiful fruity-floral without any sweetness.
It has a moderate sillage and can travel quite far (people outside our home react). This perfume does last for hours, but best apply lotion on my skin before the perfume to make it last longer. It does seem to last forever on my clothes.
This perfume does smell almost identical to two other perfumes I owned in the past -- Avon Far Away Infinity EDP and Avon Imari Bold EDT. It is moderately strong but not cloying and appreciated by people when they get a whiff of its beautiful scent.
People today are accustomed to fragrances that are sweet, gourmand or aquatic. I bet this Avon Prima Debut EDT would be a popular choice.
