Have you wondered why there are so many different lighting kits available and what they are? Don't wonder... here is probably the cheapest deal you can find to a complete lighting kit. This kind of lighting is wonderful because the umbrella acts as a reflector and amplifies the light coming from the bulb, while the white linen diffuser softens the light and gives a professional look.
The set comes with a generic no-name fluorescent bulb with 45 watts of power. It has a color temperature of 5500K, the ideal color for photography and most flattering for skin tone. The lighting used in homes have a cool bluish-white color at 6500K; lighting used for home also tend to have different color cast and need more editing work than when using bulbs dedicated for photography.
The light stand is 2 meters high when fully extended. It feels so much lighter than all my other light stands and some parts are plastic, such as the ones holding its base/feet.
I'm surprised how cheap it was on sale, and this would typically be around PhP 1,500.00 for a set! Do you need more than one set? I always exclusively only use one source of light, occasionally a reflector... it wouldn't hurt if you get a second or third one.
