It's been two years since I have bought my first anti-flea cat shampoo Saint Gertie Premium Cat Shampoo. It was very effective, has a thick viscous texture, and works effectively. When Angel came to our home three years ago, she introduced so much flea to Luna. It led to a very strenuous ritual of bathing my cats everyday from when Angel came in September 2018 up to May 2019. Afterward, this frequent bathing eventually stopped when the symptoms disappeared. Nowadays, I only bathe them once a month or less frequent for maintenance. Two years later as of today, there is about 10% left of that shampoo. 

This month of August 2021, I already placed an order to try a new one with lavender scent. It is the Purebred Pet Shampoo/Conditioner with Neem Tree Extract and Madre de Cacao (Lavender Scent) selling for a discounted PhP 80.00 for a liter (+PhP40.00 shipping). 

The scent of fragrant lavender permeates from the jug. The liquid is color purple for the lavender variant and has a semi-runny semi-viscous consistency; one tablespoon provides a very generous lather for the body of a cat, another one for the head and paws. 

What I do is to wet a face towel and put shampoo on it, and then start with the cat's four paws, then the head and ears. After which I rinse mildly with a wet towel (no shampoo). That way, the cat is less likely to panic and struggle; it will begin to struggle once you start rinsing the body with running water and so it will give you hard time to rinse the head. The body is the last part to lather the shampoo with and later rinse for the first time with wet towel (no shampoo), second rinse with running water or from tub, then a third rinse. Follow it with a gentle run of your palms on the cat from head to legs to squeeze out the water, before finally rubbing with towel. Twice. 

This shampoo leaves the cat with a nice lavender scent even until the next day. I really love this product, it smells so nice. Next time, I will transfer some of it to a bottle that has pump.
