The Avon Intense EDT 'Force' was introduced in 2021 here in the Philippines. The original variant I wanted was the 'Recharge' because of its gourmand cocoa scent. Since it was out of stock, I decided to try the 'Force'.
This is also known as 'Avon X-Series EDT' in the US. The same Force variant under that label lists the notes as Bergamot (Top), Cedar (Heart) and Amber (Base); the local Force lists the notes as Lemon (Top), Ivy Accord (Heart) and Cedar (Base).
Regardless of the difference, this fragrance gives an overall impression of delicious mandarin orange and a hint of woody cedar underneath. Even my neighbors thought they smelled oranges. It is a bright energetic orange scent without the sweetness. At times the woody note does smell kind of like tobacco leaves. This fragrance is very refreshing and smells like a nice aroma to sweat to, like working out or going outdoor -- you would never smell bad. I'm super happy with it!
How much do I use? Most of the time just a tiny spritz behind my left ear. At times a little bit more generous spritz on my chest and armpits, and elbows. The fragrance begins with a strong sillage that envelopes and could be smelled a few meters away, and then quickly settles down to a mild body scent. The scent keeps emanating after 4 hours and is long lasting. It is not cloying and would be pleasant for people in the office, home or outdoors being next to you. Even the people at home who normally protest when I wear the slightest perfume, show no signs of being offended by this fragrance. That says it all.
It is cheap at 299 Pesos (you could get it even cheaper) but is super worth it! I have interest in the two other variants Rush (said to be fruity-floral) and Recharge (said to be spicy cocoa) and hope to try one more bottle.
Avon began as a fragrance company. Their history and experience led to their expertise in creating scents that people like and are very reliable. Having been buying Avon scents since the 2000s, they have never once disappointed. If you are unsure which brand, I'd always love to recommend Avon's high quality and reasonably priced products, you don't need to be fooled by fakes!
