Scent Swatch is a local brand of perfume that makes inspired-by eau de parfum. One of their unique features is their colorful way of identifying specific variants. I've used several variants -- Anise, Bondi Blue, Old Rose, Laurel, Musk, Vanilla, Marigold, and Blue. I am judging this perfume based on its impact and performance, not based on how close it replicates the inspiration scent.
Bottles come in several sizes. The typical 60mL sells for PhP 390.00, but I can get the smaller 30mL if I'm not sure about liking the scent. The prices look reasonable in proportion to its volume and performance.
What is disappointing about the 'Old Rose' variant (inspired by Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede) is that is smells nowhere near floral, powdery or leathery. I was expecting something like tea roses or musky roses. Frankly, all you get from start to finish is an impression of juicy, crispy, watery, red apples and nothing else.
Sillage and lasting power vary among the variants. It begins with light sillage, then becomes skin scent within 5 minutes. It has so-so lasting power for an eau de parfum strength, more like 3-4 hours max.
Summary/Conclusion:
Smells like watery, crispy, juicy, red apples all the way
Nothing floral, powdery or leathery
Poor sillage, poor lasting power
Not worth the price, not worth buying
Type of scent suited for young teenagers
I felt highly disappointed with this variant
Just ignore and pass on this scent
