OBITUARY

Time flies, folks. This post is a tribute for the best ever noodles Pancit Ni Mang Juan, introduced in 2012. For those who are not familiar, it began as Mang Juan Chicharon. Its popularity soared and the company soon introduced the Pancit Ni Mang Juan in Tinapa, Adobo, and Pinoy BBQ flavors. All the flavors are heavenly and expertly created, as if they are the real thing.

The very first flavor I bought in December 2012 was the 'Pinoy BBQ'. It has a balance of sweetness and a little sour. As if like biting into a freshly roasted BBQ kebab with moist texture and woody aroma. Kahawig nito ang lasa ng V-Cut minus the saltiness, you might have an idea of its taste. This is my favorite flavor of the three.

My second favorite was the 'Tinapa' flavor. It has a very strong tempting aroma, as if like the real thing. The flavor is smoky and a bit salty like actual bangus-tinapa. Overall it has a mild delicate flavor. Napaka innovative ng flavor na ito and there's nothing like it before or since.

The last flavor in their offering is the 'Adobo', which I feel indifferent. It gives authentic adobo flavor, but as if you put a little too much soy sauce into the adobo.

It's been nine years since its introduction to the Philippine market; six years since my last taste and last seen. By 2015, medyo mahirap ito makita sa groceries and nakita ko ito sa SM Hypermarket (Quezon Avenue). It's sad for them to disappear because Pancit Ni Mang Juan is the best ever pancit canton!

When it was still around, nakakaluto ako ng tatlong packs nito per eating. Sometimes pushed to four packs kapag medyo depressed ako. Hindi ako nagsisi na sulit siya at dinamihan ko palagi pagkain nito. IBALIK PO SANA ANG 'PANCIT NI MANG JUAN'!!!
