The bottle has been redesigned to have more curvy contour, but the bottle I own is the old style. The bottle is made of porcelain so you cannot see the liquid inside. The fragrance is so strong and concentrated, you can already smell it as soon as you pop open the cap.

Tabac Original EDC has been around since 1959. Many people who have used popular fragrances throughout the decades complain that the latest millenium re-formulation smells weak or horrible... Tabac has been the original unchanged formula since 1959. Some comparisons of the vintage and modern Tabac say that the vintage has more pronounced tobacco, while the modern has more pronounced aldehydes.
The bottle has been redesigned to have more curvy contour, but the bottle I own is the old style. The bottle is made of porcelain so you cannot see the liquid inside. The fragrance is so strong and concentrated, you can already smell it as soon as you pop open the cap.
When I spray it, the opening blast gives me spicy-floral, herbal lavender, powdery/aldehyde, a tiny bit of earthy-woody, and the definite hint of tobacco. It gives the impression of fresh green tobacco, not burnt cigar. The scent takes courage to wear but if you are looking for a tobacco perfume, this is the one!
It is a cologne concentration but it has strong sillage and lasting power that will not disappoint. Sometimes hard to wash off and you can still smell it the following day. This is what perfumes should be, not watered down ghosts of their glorious identities from decades past.
