Quorum EDT is a men's fragrance introduced in 1982 by Puig. This is not the original formula and was reformulated around 2014. Many people who knew the original mention that it's a watered-down version of the original. The one we have is the new reformulated version.
The fragrance opens with an herbal-earthy aroma with a little bit of fruity sweetness from the grapefruit and also a bit of spiciness. Sometimes, I can smell traces of pine and jasmine. There is a distinct metallic-leathery-woody smell underneath the top and heart notes -- you can definitely pickup the oakmoss and leather. Tobacco, not sure. I was hoping to get something like the leftover scent of burnt cigarettes on leather, but this is pretty good and masculine and smells expensive. Reviews compare it to Ralph Lauren Polo Green.
It begins with a moderate to light projection and quickly settles to a nearby sillage then to skin scent within an hour. Fortunately, it is a long lasting fragrance and stays beyond 12 hours. Sometimes, I feel like the metallic-leathery-woody scent is hard to scrub off my skin!
Conclusion: You get a good scent for a reasonable price. The Quorum EDT is hailed as the RL Polo Green on a budget. It smells expensive and would be great for wearing in office, school and formal events. It smells warm and soothing on cold or rainy days.
