Aloha! My recent pet haul was actually unplanned. I was in Makati one day and after the short trip to my destination there, I noticed there was a Pet Express just across the highway and took the liberty to look around in the shop.

Before I went to Makati, I already bought 2 kilograms of barley (trigo) just in case I come home late and the shop closes on me. This is the staple of my pet rats and it makes up 95% of their diet. I just give them small amounts of treats as supplementary nutrition.

My sole reason for visiting was to see if they might have any treats that contain Glucosamine or Chondroitin. Those two are for the old rats, who usually suffer from osteoarthritis. These two nutrients are normally found in bone marrow. Fortunately, I found what I was looking for and it's P149.00. This is a bargain for this type of treat. The good thing is that the rats will surely love the Parmesan Cheese flavor.

Next, here's another affordable and nutritious pet rat treat that's conveniently sliced to bite size. I haven't opened this yet unless the other treats are already out. There were other flavors like banana, but they might just love chicken flavor.

Now here's the lamb flavored bits which they love (except for Milan). This mix has several types of cereals like oats and barley. I did a taste test of this and it's a little salty... same flavor like those fish pellets I used to have. This treat is fully loaded with nutrition and P59.00 is a bargain don't you think? I'm budgeting this and rats will get only 2 pieces per meal to avoid any waste (sometimes they love to throw things around!).

Last treat is the bacon-flavored chewable bone. I wasn't sure if they were gonna like this, but figured I could leave this so they can have treat or something to gnaw on while I'm away. Turns out, they loved it so much that when I left it overnight, there's only 20% left next morning!

Perfect timing. My Zen Zest Choco Cappuccino odor neutralizer was just about to run out. There were many on display and I wasn't sure which one I'd go for. But the reason I picked this one was because I saw that it was flower scented, I love Moon Flower (Sweet Potato/Camote)! Once I opened it at home and sprayed, it smelled like a fruity-cantaloupe-flowery-candy scent. Very sweet and pleasing indeed.
