The Nichido ColorEyes Water-Resistant Lengthening Mascara comes vaccum-sealed with a plastic film to protect the tube from tampering. There's a faint chemical odor typical of mascaras. In order to make it easier for me to apply the mascara, I slightly bent the tip so that it has a comfortable angle. It's a little liquidy than others and takes a minute or two to dry, so you need to keep a wide-eye until it dries, or else you end up with smudges.
The mascara was left to dry on my lashes for at least 5 minutes before I hit the shower to test its water-resistance. Thankfully, there was only a very faint smear afterward. I prefer water-resistant to waterproof because they are much much easier to remove.
It does add a bit of lengthening effect as promised, not dramatically longer. Is it because of the wand or the formula that makes the lashes clump? It's a good product, but I found others that were better and cheaper. (Number one was Essence 24-Hour Volume Mascara followed by Pixy Volume Waterproof Mascara.)
