Nichido Matte Lipstick
Retail: PhP 188.00 (2013)
SPF: None
Scent: Varies with the shade
Texture: Matte (some are creamier than others)
Net Weight: 3.7 g
Made in Philippines
Available in 9 shades:
Reds – Temptation, Glamour, Love Spell, Run Way Red
Pinks – Fabulous, Sweet Pea, Pink Lush
Orange – Divine, Charming
I like the flowery print in the case of the lipstick. On top of each cap are swatches that let you easily identify from the shelf, those are NOT LIP BALM. Each of the shades have their own distinct scent. For example, Temptation has a scent that resembles M&M candies, while Love Spell smells like freshly baked dough, and Glamour has a milky scent.
It contains Jojoba Seed Oil to give hydration to the lips. Regarding its matte texture, it's VERY matte with a waxy opaque texture, and I like how it feels on my lips. Consistency may vary and some (like Temptation) may feel drier than others. Aside from the opaque pigment, it is also long wearing and can survive a heavy meal. I feel very confident and won't need to reapply once during the day.
Temptation was the first color I bought. It was a red leaning toward muddy brown and my least favorite. Then I added Love Spell and instantly fell in love with the beautiful warm red color with blue undertone and is my favorite of the three. Then finally Glamour, a red with orange undertone.
Conclusion: This is my favorite Nichido lipstick. The price is worth it and you get a good performance overall. Love Spell is my favorite of the three colors I owned.
