Kokuryu Summer Cake is a Philippine brand, but it looks to be very popular in Muslim countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Middle East as I get bombarded with inquiries for a few years after publishing this post.
Simple white casing lang ang packaging nito, but the cherry scent is what I loved the most. Nakakaadik!
This foundation is a dry cake and needs to be activated with a wet sponge. It offers full coverage to cover blemishes and make your skin look like porcelain smooth and a very matte powdery finish. It doesn't have any titanium dioxide (SPF/sunscreen) that gives the face a white mask cast when used with flash photography.
However, I only recommend this for photoshoot purposes and when the room is cool. It has a tendency to cake up especially on the wrinkles or lines because of its thick dry texture. One time, I went outdoor to commute and the foundation ran down my face in streaks along with sweat and oil. Imagine the embarrassment!
