THE REVIEW

It's been almost 20 years since I began buying Avon fragrances, and now I'm already on my fourth Far Away bottle! Nothing has changed at all, and it's still the same old iconic design.

Sometimes, it is easy to spray more than once because it opens mildly with orange, peach and coconut milk notes. Leave it for a few minutes and the scent becomes gradually stronger with the florals (jasmine, rose, gardenia, freesia), vanilla, and amber. Overall, spicy-peppery aspect dominates the center stage while the other notes waltz around it. If one would describe the Avon Far Away EDP in single words to help you paint the picture -- spicy, peppery, oriental, amber, vanilla, creamy, exotic, old school floral, mature.

This perfume can fill up the whole room, even people downstairs can smell me when my room is open. Very strong perfume and what a perfume should be. It is also worth every penny paid for, because it lasts for a long time. I would say the whole day, still there after waking up the next day, and on your clothes it smells strong FOREVER.

Who is it for? It suits a mature audience or those who are not afraid to try old school or bold fragrances. This is not for people who like mild scents. I don't think a young audience would appreciate this type of scent save for a few, but this perfume will remain a timeless staple/classic from Avon. I'm glad they never changed the formula... please don't ever!

I like most of the perfumes in my collection and often switch from one bottle to another. However, if there is only one choice, Avon Far Away EDP is definitely my all-time signature scent.

Conclusion: Avon Far Away Original EDP is a classic from 1994. I'm glad they never changed the formula or substituted for cheaper ingredients. I'm not the type of person to crave to buy the same perfume again and again. But when I say that I'm already on my fourth bottle, it says alot, doesn't it?
