The BKP Exotic Pets Expo at the Victory Mall Monumento last February 28 |
Going to pet events is one of the most exciting decisions you'll ever make in life -- you meet fellow pet hobbyists, learn educational stuff about your favorite pets, and you see the more exotic ones that really crave for your attention and love.

The BKP hosted its very own 'Exotic Pets Expo' at the Victory Mall in Monumento on February 28 to commemorate their 2nd anniversary. So many visitors have visited the event, and as I remembered it, the crowd even swelled as it reached 4 in the afternoon! (Too bad I had to leave by 4.30 and missed some of the action...)

The most common question we get about pet rats is: "Are they the same species as the rats you see in labs, at home or out in the streets?"
YES. They all belong to a species of rodent called the 'Brown Rat' (scientific name 'Rattus norvegicus'). They have the exact same genes, except they may vary in color and markings. Pet rats, on the other hand, have better temperament since they are used to interaction with humans (Scientific name 'Homo sapiens').
We ran out of brochures due to the amount of inquiries, but you can check out our FB page 'Pet Rats Philippines' for more educational information about pet rats.

Pet rats are one of the sweetest and cuddliest pets you'll ever have... although not all people would agree by default. Which is why a close encounter with them is the best way to convince people of their cuteness. Are rats really gross? Do they bite or bring diseases? The answer is a staggering NO. Pet rats are very sweet and they don't bite. Our visitors' reactions tell everything...

Exotic pets are really cool, but you also see familiar ones like rodents, fish, reptiles and of course the cuteness of pet rats. Pet Rats PH would like to congratulate BKP for this huge and immensely successful exotic pets event, and we also thank everyone for visiting our booth. We hope that more people will learn to love pet rats as they're really cute adorable pets. See you next time! =)
