I'm drooling over these 20 shades... You've seen them first here on Beauty on a Shoestring Budget |

June 2013 was the time when I dropped by our nearest HBC store in Blumentritt. Napansin ko yung mga bagong eyeshadow singles nila doon which looked very cute. It's called the San San 'Create-Your-Own Eyeshadow' and retails for a shockingly affordable 50 Pesos per pot! The packaging is very simple, just a pot of eyeshadow with a lid and blue casing. My suggestion was sana they designed a system so that empty palettes could also be sold and that the pan could be detached from the casing to be used as refills. But no, the pan cakes are glued to the case. So if you will buy many colors to collect, which you will likely do, then it might look kinda messy on hand.
There are 20 shades available and I bought several shades. The great thing about this system is that instead of a fixed palette where you only use about 20% because most of them you don't need or like, this is ALL YOU. As usual, San San has its trademark characteristic of adding vitamins that will also benefit your skin. HBC really cares so much for their consumers!
The consistency of the metallic shades are creamier and may have occasional powder fallouts. But the matte ones feel very hard. Some of the matte ones (Deep Earth Brown) as if they were pressed too hard onto the pan. Kahit kutkutin ko forcefully with my fingernails, would never even budge, parang naging hardened clay. I think they need to work on that batch!
Overall, colors are easy to apply/blend and semi-opaque at best, and they can last on my eyes around 4 hours before fading away totally. As cheap and tempting as they are, I won't buy again and there are plenty of better similar products from HBC and other local brands.
