This ELF Beauty Book Smoky Eye Set (P 400.00 as of January 2013 when I bought it) comes in a beautiful storybook style packaging. Inside, you get a set of super pigmented eyeshadows, eyeshadow primer, eyeliner pencil, and sponge applicator. Unfortunately, I got a bad stock!
The eyeshadow primer was almost dried up, could only be used twice. The eyeshadow colors are very pigmented, but contain plenty of annoying glitters, plenty of fallouts. One of the shades (#1) appear to be baked into a solid brick, literally. I can't even get it to flake after scraping it hard with a knife! Then cake #6 practically crumbled apart on my first time use. At least the pencil was without problem. Without primer, the shades have decent lasting power. But of course it will even last longer and more vivid with the primer!
Half of the set was useable and very good, but I still felt cheated and ripped off. Yes, I probably got a bad stock. Not long after, I still bought several ELF makeup and brushes and have been very happy. Ito lang talaga, gave me a bad first impression of the brand. But I'm here to keep it real. Thank you!
