The Shawill CutePress Compact Plus Vitamin E was given to me in 2011. The compact has a boxy look and feels heavier than compact powders usually are. It comes with separate compartments for the powder cake and the thick high quality sponge. Refills are not available so you will have to discard and buy new ones every time.
The powder has a weird chemical scent which I've never smelled anything like it. It is only very light and will not ruin the experience. The powder is creamy and super fine, it blends like a dreamy silky smooth finish on my skin. Unfortunately, it does very poorly with oil control and longevity and totally disappears by the second hour.
One of the ingredients used was Methyldibromo Gultaronitrile, a banned preservative since 2008. Perhaps this is what gives the product its weird scent? Also, I'm not sure if it's just the way they label their products, because chamomile extract and Vitamin E are not listed in the ingredients list. Fake claim or just missed out?
The shade I had was a bit lighter on me, but it had a baby powder glow to it, which is what made it special. The shade made my skin glow even if it was lighter, instead of looking like a pale greyish-white mask.
Great: baby powder finish, creamy silky fine powder
Neutral: packaging could be improved, chemical scent
Against: banned preservative, abysmal performance, a bit pricey for its performance?
