Today is mama's birthday, and tonight, we also welcome Jasper the Choco Siamese cat to his new home. He looks really scared and does not want to be touched. In the mean time, he retreats to his new quarter and will be left alone overnight to adjust to his new home.

I waited 30 years to have my own pet cat. 20 years ago in 1997, a classmate who lives nearby gave me her kittens, but the next day the people at home sent them back. This time, I'm determined to keep them because I love them so much!

On his second day, he looks to be more willing to be touched, but still a bit choosy. He's slowly adjusting and by now I'm already seeing his Siamese chattiness shine through.

Some new purchases from the store. Maybe it would be nice to show Jasper around the neighborhood in case he gets bored. I'm sure he misses his old home, but we will shower him with lots of love and he will think of us as his family.

Today is Jasper's 1st birthday! He's such a big cat when we welcomed him. Maybe that's why he doesn't seem to like any affection or touch from anyone. A bit of petting is fine for him, but not too much. At least it looks like he's thinking of this place as his home now. These last photos below were his shots throughout the month of January 2017.
