Introduction: Aido has been providing Filipinos with super affordable quality makeup since 1973, and their products are made in Taiwan. (Where it is made may be of political significance, but we are not here to discuss that.) Many years ago, you need to go to malls to find them and it is out of the way for some. Fortunately, they are already selling online beginning August 2020.

These lipsticks were 25 Pesos when I bought it in mid-2012, and that is probably the cheapest lipstick you can ever find in a department store! Understandably, you shouldn't expect much with the packaging. It comes with utmost simplicity of a clear case. The lipstick bullet itself is the same size as regular lipstick.

What matters most is the colors, right? The one I bought is a pinkish-nude with a creamy sheen and its effect on the lips is sort of like a shiny tinted lip balm rather than that of a lipstick. But for a nude, this does well!

Among the ingredients listed are fragrance (Cherry, but it was really unscented!), Vitamin E, and Aloe barbadensis leaf extract. The consistency of the bullet is very soft like butter which feels super nice on the lips... but it actually melted one day inside the case. There was no way this lipstick would ever stay in a solid state, so I put it inside a pot instead. Lasting power is around 2 hours or less.

Conclusion: The Aido Regular Lipstick is the cheapest lipstick you will ever find that offer soothing buttery sensation on the lips and this nice pinkish-nude shade. For its price, I won't complain about the meltdown or performance, but there is really nothing to lose to try one. You can easily gift your little girls to learn makeup with, nice for exchange gifts and souvenirs, and also nice for teens to wear in school. Actually, if you don't really want to spend too much for makeup but for use with photoshoots and make the subject look great, this will do wonders. Aido carries other lipsticks which are better performers and you might even want to spend a bit more on its sister brands Fashion 21 and FS.
