Jordache Eau de Toilette Inspired Scents (Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Jovan) |

Have you ever visited the Japan Shop in G/F Farmer's Plaza Cubao? Inside that shop, there is one whole aisle dedicated only to Jordache Eau de Toilette inspired fragrances and there are testers for most of them. Each bottle only retails for 88 Pesos and it is fun to look around if you are not really serious about fragrances and just want to explore.
Jordache really makes some nice scents. With regard to lasting power, don't expect much, give it 1 to 2 hours. Sillage is moderate, but the Chanel inspired one smells stronger. Let's be fair and judge the scents according to their own merit, not as if they're exact copies or not.
Brand: Jordache
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Net Volume: 90mL
Retail: PhP 88.00
Made in USA
Accord: spicy
My officemate took me to look around in a perfume shop in Gateway Cubao back in 2007, and even today I can vividly remember the original Chanel No.5 (1921) tester -- it smells real nice with old school florals and a waxy/soapy quality.
The Jordache No.20 was... very far from that floral scent honestly. It's a bit floral, but the biggest impression it leaves is that I smell a strong peppermint candy here. It's a nice scent, but just not a floral. This is the only EAU DE PARFUM in all the Jordache scents I have. The rest were EAU DE TOILETTE. The scent here lasts longer and stronger than the three other variants, which smell like body mist.
The box is not the same design as the one I bought back in 2013 (5 years ago), but the fragrance bottle is still the same. Ingredients are listed but it has no description or even a list of notes. The bottle was designed to take the form of a torso with corset and it also has corset strings at the back of the bottle.
If you pay attention, there's also a batch code printed at the back of the bottle which should match the batch code at the base of the box, embedded right over the bar code. People usually look for this for authenticity, but a product this cheap needs not be duped.
No.20 and No.13 are the only ones I will recommend of the four that I have.

No.20: Chanel No.5
Accord: spicy

No.13: Ralph Lauren Polo For Men
Accords: fresh, green/herbal
The second bottle I bought was inspired by Polo For Men by Ralph Lauren (1978). Based on the written notes, the original Polo has spicy peppers, musk, leather and tobacco. The Jordache No.13 scent is fresh, green and soapy -- it eerily replicates that Heno de Pravia freshness after stepping in the shower. I liked this fragrance too, but even if I've never smelled the real one, reading the notes listed, the smell here is very far from its inspiration.

No.43: Ralph Lauren Polo Blue
Accords: oceanic, watery, fresh
The third bottle that I bought was inspired by Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren (2003). This time, I have a basis for comparison because we used to own one. The original was oceanic, spicy and woody. The Jordache No.43 is far from that scent. The musty scent reminds me of something herbal and like trapped rain water. No... just no.

No.37: Jovan Musk For Men
Accords: spicy, soapy
I own a bottle of Jovan Musk For Men (1973), and also love that scent very much. The Jordache is yet again, very very far from its inspiration scent... and it really never even tries. The scent that it gives is something a bit soapy, a bit peppery, and that's it. I could easily forgive scents that I don't like as long as they are strong and last long... not this one.
